Despite strong evidence supporting compassionate, trauma-informed perinatal substance use care, many healthcare teams report gaps in training, screening processes, and referral pathways. This interactive workshop offers practical tools for implementation, including validated screening approaches, stigma-reducing communication strategies, peer recovery coach integration, and multidisciplinary coordination. Through case scenarios and small-group discussion, participants will apply evidence-based practices to real-world situations. The session addresses critical practice gaps in early identification, brief intervention, peer support integration, and system-level coordination—equipping teams to strengthen care from pregnancy through postpartum.
